Information for Graduation

Friday, July 9th

There are a few rules from the Academy regarding the Graduation:

Dress code: Business casual preferred, nice jeans/pants acceptable. (The Academy is not hip on the Gangsta look)

The Fountain is off limits to all - do not sit on or allow kids to play on. The Fountain represents fallen officers and is taken very seriously and you will get busted if you or your child is on it.

Please don't walk on the grass and do not run on the campus.

Here is the schedule:

9:00 am Cadets are lined up in their tan uniforms outside to be inspected by the Commissioner

10:00 am Graduation Ceremony begins

11:00 -11:30 am Approximate start time of Badge Pinning - outside for everyone to watch

11:45-12:45 pm Lunch: you can bring a lunch to eat on campus or you can go to the near by fast food places to grab a quick bite

1:00 pm Seated in the bleachers at the high-speed track

1:30-2:30 pm PT and High-Speed Demo

2:30-5:00 pm Graduation over, down time before the party begins at 5:30 pm

5:30 pm Party Begins!!

The Academy time schedule is strictly adhered to so please arrive early/on-time so that I can direct you and get to the ceremony on time too!

Please meet in the front of the Academy - The Administration Building. (Subject to change - I will inform if that is the case)

If you want to be present for the Cadet inspection I suggest arriving at the Academy at 8:30 am. I will be there between 8:15 and 8:30 am.

If you have a ticket to the ceremony or want to be around in case of extra room to watch the ceremony on tv - please arrive at 9:15 am.

For the Badge Pinning only - please arrive at 11:00 am.

We would love to have everyone watch the ceremony,but we are limited. Nevertheless, we are excited to see all of you and celebrate this special for our exceptional cadet!!!
